Abhayangam (general body massage)
This is a simple massage with herbal oil, recommended for general fitness of the body. It is nourishing , tones up the muscles, increase blood circulation, relax joints ,stimulate the nervous system, provides pleasure and perfect sleep,enhances the complexion and the luster of the skin and is good for sense organs.
Duration: 45 minutes.
Swedana (herbal steam bath )
This is a method of eliminating toxins that accumulate every day, from the body by inducing profuse sweating. This is good for certain skin diseases, to eliminate impurities from the body, to improve the tone of the body, to reduce fat.
We use specially designed wooden cabin for steam bath. Peculiar detoxifying herbs and aromatics are added to this steams. Steam is generated by boiling the leaves of various medicinal plants in water.
Duration: 60 minutes.
Sarwanga dhara (pizhichil)
This is a process traditionally followed once a year to keep the body fit and healthy and prevent ageing of cells and tissues. It tones up the body, increases blood circulation and cleanses the body toxins.It is also effective in case of arthritis, paralysis, paraplegia, sexual weakness, general disability and Diabetes. Warm herbal oil is poured all over the body by two or more trained masseurs in a specific rhythmic manner continuously for 60mins.

Shirodhara
A specialty of Kerala Ayurveda Therapies in which herbal oil is poured in a rhythmic manner on the forehead of the person lying on the back.Extremely beneficial in case of migraine, headache and insomnia. It relaxes the entire nervous system.The word shirodhara breaks down into two ideas: shiro, meaning head and dhara which means flow.Together they form a concept that aims to bring physical and emotional balance by rejuvenating the spirit and preserving health.

Patrapodala sweda (kizhi)
(a) Elakizhi (Sudation done using herbal leaves)
The leaves of certain herbs are made into a bollus form in a cotton cloth and are pummelled on the affected part after a therapeutic massage with suitable medicated oil.
(b) Podikizhi (Sudation done using herbal powder)
In this the procedure is the same. Instead of herbal leaves herbal powders are used in the form of boluses.
Both these treatments are very good in treating sciatica, sprains, frozen shoulder, lumbago, and stiffness of joints, muscular pain and inflammation.
